Agricolas is the location of a large Roman earthworks.
The ditch followed Hadrians wall from coast to coast and was thought to have been to keep the civilians away from the wall. The ditch was also known as the Vallum
The map marker is in Newcastle-upon-Tyne but the earthworks stretched the full width from coast to coast.
