Maglona Roman Fort in Wigton is also known as Carvetiorvm. It was both a Roman fort and a minor settlement.
Several alters to the gods have been found here with seven dedicated to Jupiter, and god commonly worshipped by soldiers as well as alters to Belatucader, Mars, Hercules, Eternity and Bellona.
